With the weather in the upper 60's on Monday I decided to go back to the site where I? found the 1805 bust half? Dime and a number of old? coins. I called my friend Jim B and we were on our way to the site ,the ride is about an hour and when we got there the clover and grass was matted down buy the snow we received last week. It was perfect? the snow melted and we started detecting Jim finds and 1864 Indian Head Penny and a nice large Flat Button as we looked at it you seen a circle in the center ..could it be!!! NOT? Just another flat button that looked like a GW. Moments later I found an Indian head? .It was funny because it was a1864 same date as Jims. as I made my way down near the? road I? had a good deep hit ,out pops a flat button? nearly a foot away another flat button. So now I'm the person that will stay in that? spot for 2 hours and it was worth? it in an area about 30x 30 I found 2 large pennies 1798,1803 , 2 more buttons one pewter and a Jews harp? . The 1798 is the first 1700 large pennie I have found . So that made the trip well worth it ....In that area was a number of Square nails and a old horse Buckle....Will keep posting as long as the weather cooporates....Keep on Digging.....John
