i stayed at my dad's place in Miami for the last weekend of the year, and hunted the swales and parking strips and a couple of private yards in his neighborhood. I just walked out the front door with my metal detector and hit the sidewalk.
Total finds of interest: 30 wheaties, 1 rosie and 1 mercury. This is by far the largest number of wheaties in one weekend for me. 18 of the wheaties came from just one yard. I only remember finding one Memorial in that yard. That is a highly unusual proportion.
