Back to finding colonial! Wrap up post with some interesting finds.

Haven't posted in awhile and the wife is making me clear off counter tops so I guess I better listen. Finally got out of the slump and started digging some buttons. The one green flat button is very thin and VMI and I thought it might be military Rev/1812 but looks wiped. Dug one nice tombac and some other colonial buttons-1820s buttons. Little fancy two piece button looks late 1800s. Dug my oldest IHP with a fatty 1861 about 5-10 yards away from VMI digging that sweet Swedish 12 Skilling. The Lead Lion thingy is very interesting not sure if its a seal or what. Dug some reeds, Busted buckle, little buck, a Reins guide (i think), The brass thing with the square hole in it is another interesting piece that I'm having trouble with (any ideas?), The brass #1 with two holes is yet another mystery...looks too old to be something off a house. Sorry for a crap write up but I got lots of chores to catch up with...these holidays kill me. Good luck out there and thanks for looking.

Your finds look similar to the stuff I pull out of the ground. You must be onto some older sites. The winged creature thing is my favorite. Congrats!

yeah the buttons and IHP all came from a colonial site and some of the odds and ends came from a site that has fill dirt from all over the Sea Islands down here. Thanks

Oh man dont i know it. Ive found 5 whole SC Dispensary bottles this summer but i've had to have found at least 25 broken ones of all shapes and and sizes this year. Need to get some flasks and some trees. Thanks tho SC
