After a knee surgery i had to take 10 weeks off detecting. Today i started again with a short hunt. i did 1 hour on an roman site wich has many shards but little metal. Options are rare this time of the year...
Only one coin popped up and lots of nails.

I'm having the same trouble, in both knees 3 hours if I'm lucky, and if it stays dry long enough, this is the least detecting I have done in 12 years. But you are back, and one coin is a start, sure to be more there

My orange shovel is still a pleasure to use. I get a LOT of questions about it. No one believes that "a guy in Germany" made it for me. I don't use it on lawns but I wouldn't go out in the field without it. It is to army/camp shovels (and I have a couple) as my Lesche is to a soup spoon.

My surgery worked very well so far. I hope you get better too. Detecting with pain is no fun....

Thanks Cru! The better fields are out of reach now but there are many more to explore... Maybe 2 weeks from now and these are off limits too. Hard times are coming...like every year.
