Detector(s) used
XP Deus
I used to metal detect a lot back in the mid 90's into the mid 2000'S...found some great stuff. I have been digging bottles primarily for the last 8 years. I decided I needed to slow it down and enjoy it a little more, so I'm back to metal detecting. I recently unearthed a couple nice coins and wanted to share them. The 1837 half dime was at a depth of 6" and the two cent piece was at 7 1/2". I almost forgot how peaceful it is to do this...its nice to roam around with the detector and be in your own world.

Great finds and you're right there's nothing better than getting out for a peaceful hunt in a beautiful historic location

Nice digs and thank you for sharing those pictures

Great finds.

The half dime without the stars around lady liberty is quite a rare find. Only minted for two years (1837 & 38) these are super hard to find! Really nice!

Thank you for all the nice comments. I went out again this morning and found a couple good ones. I would have replied to this post but I couldn't figure out how to add pictures.

Nice finds! Congrats!
