Well I started 2024 off making the mile and a half walk back to the river spot I like going to. A little history about the spot, this spot was a hot spot in the early 1900’s for people having picnics and using the river as a place to swim. The property has been in the same family since the late 1800’s, and the land owner in the early 1900’s would charge people a small fee to use his land for these activities.
The weather was good, cloudy with temps around 39° could be worse for Michigan 😆.
Would of awesome to find the milk bottle whole.
I ended up getting 11 wheats, dates 1917-1936
I found a tie clip, a ring from the period a small fancy buckle and some other bits and bobs
I got a 1936 Mercury dime and a 1906 barber
I also pulled a model T valve stem cap
1930s marion davies popsicle token
Also a 1906 IHP
I hope you enjoyed the read and the pictures as much as I did finding the stuff. 😁
