Detector(s) used
White's XLT
Well, after losing both my detectors in a divorce over two years ago (lost in a move, not to my ex-wife,) I finally gave in to my urges, went to a local pawn shop and picked up an ancient Bounty Hunter 2D-707. No pinpointing, no depth indicator, but a solid detector nonetheless. I figured that I'd pick up a $45 detector to see if the treasure bug had worn off.....nope. Still there, raging away. Got started on a house I had just moved into about 9:00 tonight and went till midnight, managed 37 Memorials, 2 clad Roosevelts, a '56-D Wheatie and a 43-D Merc, along with 7 keys, a large fishing spoon and an aluminum '96 Olympics medallion. Ahhh, to feel the dirt under my nails and the jingle in my pocket. TH'ing, I have missed you! :D

hey floater the ace isnt THAT bad at the beach. mine did fine in both the dry and wet sand. it was only in the really wet sand where the waves were crashing that i got problems from the salt water. (a lot of falsing) all in all i would give it a C+ at the beach.
Thanks Hollow. I know the guys from riellys used it down here nad he was on the sand too. I forgot about that. Someone posted a while ago about it not doing well but it must have been near the water. Still a great machine anyway you look at it. They may have also been near so e really minerized areas too. HH

Welcome back! I've heard nothing but good things about that Ace250, especially for the price! HH, Mike

Welcome back to a great hobby and forum ! When MD-ing gets into your blood it's hard to get it out ! Good Luck in the future ! I think you're going to like the ACE-250.

Huntin' 59er

if i were going to be exclusively hunting at the beach i might consider something else, but for occasional beach trips and all around shallow coinshooting, its really hard to beat the value and performance of the ace 250.

bump up to revise?
