Azusa East Fork

Try to at least hike up to swan rock, it's about a mile before the bridge to nowhere, you may find chunkier stuff there, good luck, keep an eye out for any signs pertaining to the newly christened national monument!

I second what Kizzmo said. Although, there is gold all up and down that river, it just depends on how much trash you want to look at while you're digging. I've found some nice color just above Cattle Canyon bridge but all the trash and graffiti take away from the experience a little.

Hey dig em thanks, I figured I would start up river and work and work my way down hitting as much as I can along the way

Like Kizzmo said,

Go waaaay upriver from the cattle bridge. All the chunkier stuff I have ever seen or gotten from East Fork is up closer to the bridge to nowhere.

Good Luck - Mike

Right off the road! Just shy of half gram:headbang:

Nice Dig em,
I am heading up with Goldrabbit tomorrow. Did you find that with your detector or digging?
Thanks for sharing and heavy pans!

It was found digging. It ended up in the first riffle past the classifier. How did everyone do? Any good color?

Hey back from the day trip to Azusa, it was a very windy day, which I didn't mind or it would've felt like it was 100 out. Did well had some nice color in the pan I'll try to post a picture when I get a chance.

How long is the hike to the bridge to no? About 6 miles from the parking lot?
