Good morning, newbe here. Found this item on a receding lake bed in North Alabama. I'm guessing its lime stone but the shape is what caught my eye. I really don't see any hand made marks on it. So your thoughts? Rock that just happens to be in the shape of an ax head or something else?

It does have a neat shape, but I think it's just a natural rock. No signs of being worked, plus it doesn't look like the right kind of rock to make a tool out of.

It looks like what we call around here a "turtle rock". Some of them have viens running through them that make them resemble a petrified turtle shell but they are natural formations.
