Today i decided to hit one of my newest spots for about an hour. From what i know the house on the property was built in the early to mid 1800s. It was told it was used as a whinery roughly in the 1870s. Ive hunted this spot only 2 other times which was mostly digging pounds and pounds of trash and a few wheaties. Today i decided to work the front yard. First signal was wheaty. Then i dug half of an old play gun. Then i dug a small decoratory peice that im not to sure what it is. And i dug what i thought was a button but it is also a mystery peice to me. Then i started to swing back to the truck when i got a nice penny signal at around 6 inches deep. I popped out what i thought would be another wheaty. So i rubbed just a bit on the edge and i got a little excited when i saw feathers. I knew i had found my fourth indian head penny. I decided to wait till i got home to try to get a date. When i got home i ran some water over it and i about freaked out when i made out the date. It was 1882 my oldest coin so far.
