I took a quick swing at lunch today by a thrift store near my house and they had restocked some jewelry. Saw this bangle on the rack and as soon as I touched it I knew it was something good. Cold to the touch, solid and dense. A Quick scratch on the glass and I knew it was Jadeite. I have no clue on how to evaluate the quality of jade so I guess I'll take it to a jeweler tomorrow. Prices are all over the place for this stuff. What is interesting about this one is I have never seen one with the top faceted. This leads me to believe it might've been a higher quality piece. I welcome your thoughts. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1471317912.526254.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1471317924.523248.jpg

Well it's totally fake. Fooled me but at least I only have $1.99 in it.

You said it was cold to the touch? Otherwise, I would have suggested testing it for Bakelite (just in case).

I bought a bracelet that had lines like that but it was red and said "genuine agate". I emailed and asked again if they were for sure it was agate. They assured me 100%. When it came I looked through the loupe and could see tiny air bubbles scattered through it. It was glass. I returned it. Yours could be glass too. Cool to the touch. Dense.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Sorry it wasn't real tho.

I'd still flip it for 10-12 bucks at a flea market without too much trouble. I would have purchased it under the same assumptions of you. Nice learning piece..
