awesome find, not sure what to do with it!!!

hey, this is my first post. im laid off right now and have been metal detecting around where i live. well this morning i found a 1872 2 cent coin. the shape is perfect except for one thing. its tarnished a blue/green. im not sure if i should try and clean it or just leave it the way it is. the signal showed it as a quarter. i started to dig and i found it about 4-5 inches down. someone please let me know what to do about the tarnish problem. i will post a pic in the next day. thanks, greg UPDATE, here are a few pics of the coin. i am sorry about the qualitly of the pics, but my scanner is not working right, infact, when it scanned them it went to a bmp. format. oh well. i will try to get better pics up for yall to see and please feel free to let me know what to do as well. thanks, greg horning
