Average wheats per box of cents?

Yeah the first box of cents i ever did had 23 wheats and a 1905 indian head. You never know what you will find.and thats why i keep doing this. And for silver of course.lol

You must have done your first box a long time ago if you got all that. I've searcher a total of roughly $100 over the past 4 days and only have 56 wheats.

I do 50$ in nickels and 25$ in pennies a week.i have been at it maybe 25 weeks or so.I average about 9 wheats a box.and only 1 steelie and 1 indian head.and about 300 canadian.

Ok so about 1 every 4 rolls is good. That's enough to keep me going. I'm so excited for next week! Who knows what I'll find. :)

I'm 16 and I don't have a lot of money. I might do nickels if I get enough cash to buy a box every week.

Unfortunately I have to hand sort and wrap. My bank doesn't have a coin dump machine. I don't think any of them by me do. I'll go looking because it sure would help. I've been keeping the copper to sell for a profit of $30 on the $100 on eBay. Might as well I figure less to get rid of too.

I also hand sort and wrap but its worth for the stuff i get.I only have 50$ to play with every week so on monday i get 50$ in nickels.go through, roll up,and I draw a black line in sharpie down the roll so i dont get them back.take em back wednesday and get a box of pennies and 12 rolls of nickels.then i have til the next monday to get the pennies re wrapped.

In my 6 month career of crh i have found 9 war nicks,2 readable buffalos,2 rolls of pre '57 nickels,6 rolls of wheats,2 proof nickels,a 1949 quarter from the teller tray, and a 1964 and 1967 half from the teller tray.

Nickels seem sort of pointless though...I know people do them but what can you get out of them? I know buffalos but those are probably hard to find. 1950D's? And war times? That's it?

I think they produce better than pennies unless you are doing it just for the copper in the pennies.in pennies you get a wheat every 4-5 rolls. For me with nickels i get a war nick about every 20-25 rolls and i get a pre '57 just about every roll.i have only gotten 1 v-nickel.very worn 1906.

I think I'm just going to stick with pennies for now and then in a few months if pennies get old go to nickels for a while.
