It was a horrible weekend here in North Texas, but I managed to get out yesterday for a couple hours.

I had no idea where to hunt, So I just started driving around aimlessly, Ended up passing an area where they had just tore a house down a few months back, Which i had hunted before. But this time I noticed they had scraped the entire lot.
So I got out and started dectecting. First signal i got was right below the surface, and when i dug it up, it was neon green.

I was pretty excited becuase i figured it was a Indian Head, well it turned out to be a 1917 wheat. which sorta bummed me out.

But not 2 steps past that, i got a signal that was about 4 inches...Dug down and saw another Neon green coin.

But this time I saw the back was differnt...turned out to actually be an Indian head!!

I didnt even know what the date was until i was driving home, and once i was 1889, i about lost it.

I know its nothing to alot of people on here. But its my oldest coin to date.

its crazy because I have found more Barber Quarters and V Nickles, than i have Indian heads.

Anyway...i was pretty excited and kept going. right before i left I found both these Buffalos about 3 inches apart. pretty much right below the surface.

So all in all.

In an area about 10x10, I found 2 buffs 2 Wheats ( 1917-s & 1919) and an 1889 Indian Head.

i can only imagine how much is going to be lost once they cover this area.

thanks for looking!
