AT Gold Iron disc. only goes to 40 ?

Hi All,

I have an AT Gold that I have not used very much since I purchased it.
I noticed several AT Gold owners on the forum say they have set their iron discrimination to 44.

Mine only goes up to 40.

Does my AT Gold have a problem ??

The early models only went to 40 iron discrimination. Starting this Spring they bumped it up to 44.

I was thinking that could have been the case. I wonder what else might have been modified?
I did hear that all the modifications they made to the AT Gold to make it work in Australia(holds up better in highly ironized mineralized areas) were also going to implemented as part of Garrett's standard production.

Maybe that's what's going on...
