So i traded a lot of plumbing, and welding side work for a widow late husband coin collection. I tried to decline vast majority, but I easily saved her over $5k. ( was not for profit at that time) , i am a new member. Could anyone tell me if I have anything valuable here? Dont want to attach too many photos but its majority pre-64 % silver, some mint coins, and world coins:
I have also purchased a lot of Morgans and Peace dollars personlly. Any assistance or tips for honest valuation is appreciated.

Id say this is about all of it. Highlights ( that i like, im a beginner):
1652-LVD XIIII D. G.
Six VBD PENNIES
1883 COLUMBIAN HALF DOLLAR
1892 COLUMBIAN HALF
Full presidential set
1897 ussr $50 Kopek
Several lithiuanian silver dulitu ( silver)
Various pennies 1807 and up
Pulgrim mint dollar
Lots of mercury , quarters, peace, and franklins, nothing over 1964.

I plan to part with a lot of this to help pay for mothers health care and any valuation tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks- Bluegrape

well silver is almost $30/OZ and you look to have about maybe 11-12 ounces. So a minimum, without regard to date or condition.... around $350....

So... your math is a little on the bright side... when in reality it will not amount to that.
First... you will get below melt on standard coins... roughly 80% is where you should be realistic.
Second ... these coins are 90% so there is again a hit.

I recommend you use a current coin melt calc ON ONLY THE COMMON stuff... to determine the high and deduce reality from there by roughing it at 80%.
Now... numismatic value is a whole another thing... and variations are something that only experienced dealers know and reputable ones would point out and pay for.

In other words... there is a lot to getting to an accurate value of what you have there.
MAny factors apply here... but generally if only standard type stuff then you are gonna be at 80% of spot IF you got someone paying you correct... and on the higher end.

Remember .... no one in there right mind buys AT spot... unless they are private collector.
Dealers dont... cant and wont.
There is no money in it.

The mercury dime in the half dollar sized plastic holder looks to be a 1942 over 41 mint error coin. Has value over melt for SURE.
You need someone you can trust that knows a little about coins to help with this.
Glad you zoomed in on the pics... i just roughly looked... FOR... i cannot evaluate coins through pictures... i must hold them... each and every one... with my loop in almost all cases.
Coins need to be done like this to get a true sense about a coin... the key factor in judging the value of a coin is condition... condition... condition.
And so many factors that the naked eye can fail to see in person let alone online with a photo apply to this judgment.

Like stated above... find someone you trust who is knowledgeable in coins.
And just because they have a coin shop does not make them this.

Hey guys, firstly thank you so much for all your responses. I have 6 1909 VDB pennies, i due know what I have, and I know I have a few good error coins, i have an appt tmrw at Crown Jewel Coin and Currency. I have flipped Bullion prob 3 times so im not a complete newb, but when it comes to Numistics im green as a gopher. Right now, all gold is new in case or apmex plastic never touched and Im not sure if I want to unload all of that. Maybe a few of the 2023 and mexico gold/3g pandas. But, the little research ive done. I have maybe 10 key date pre 64 coins, and half dozen error coins. Planchet (sp) way off center dd etc.

I will be home in a hour and see if I can put up a better list of coins, i have many more old silver world coins ( 16,1700's) . Whats up with the kopeks? I have 3 of them I think, the france, england. Lithiuanian, greek, varying dynasty china.

I really appreciate all the responses.

If anyone neefs any keydates, lmk or any blanks to fill in. Single coins I will send on honor system if community vouches, once you receive and verify we can do 75% spot. This is for the 90% and pennies/nickels. I have all the coins from 64-present too, 2001, 2007, and 2009 sets. I may be off a year, but I also have several glass jars filled up w 64 through 09. I usually seperate by mint location, D, S, P etc. But if there is a "best method" or SOP for numistic organization, please let me know. Id be happy to part with the error coins and the VDB'S . IF anyone has yet to find them. A lady gave me literally 100 Lbs in pennies and I found 4-5 sorting through them over a month. More wheats then I can count.

The 1652 'B' Louis XIV French coin was minted in Rouen, France.

There is a cell phone app which is coinsnap. you take the coin out of the holder and take a picture of the front and back and it will give you a value. To be sure though have a coin expert value them . That is costly though

So , i sold all the junk basically and he was super fair, i basically saved every good coin I have. 6 morgans, 33 dimes, 25 franks, bunch of quarter (20?)= $2k

Im very happy, i feel it was fair for ease of transaction, he did give me extra for the pilgrim and one old quarter. But, i kept all the world silver and he even showed me several valuable coins I did not know I had and was completely cool when i snatched them back. I did the math. It was a very reasonable offer. He should make a easy $800-1000 parting them out.

Thank you guys and gals!

Thanks guys, very happy with results. I kept all gold and pick of Silver. He slso told me these two world coins were in fact authentic, i did not want to pay for the coinrater app as I found the web gives more accurate real time pricing for the actual present day market.

I do have a question on value of the following coins:
-1740 Brittania - confirmed authentic
- this pictured copper bronze indian coin w date of 1330 ( Mark said its real but the date is commemorative , not actual mint date)
-1951 Canadian Half Dollar
-1652 Loius the 14th
-1883 Una Peseta

Also, any info on U.S.S.R coins would be cool too.

As always,

Thanks for your help.

glad you got more than spot! We can help you better with really good pix of both sides of a coin...BUT... each coin needs to be its OWN pic. It is really hard to judge with more limited pix, and what perhaps you didn't know, but some of us are actually highly qualified in our fields. If we can't help you, we can send to those that can.
