I stopped at a large thirft store down in the big city , and found this Denver Fire Clay Co Assayers Scale in just FANTASTIC condition . I spent a total with tax of $21.59 !! it was sitting on top of the jewelry counter , walked right by it and didn't see it until I was headed to the register , I have had some great luck at the thrift stores and fleamarkets lately , hope it keeps up ! Unbelievable price!!

Heck, I would have paid more than that for the case alone. Nice score

Wow! That should be worth a lot more than that. Good eye.

You're tearing it up!
That thing looks brand new, what's the age?
Carl

I've always wanted one of those, especially at that price.

That is quite an amazing price!

Jimdon, it was unbelievable,I used to run an antique store in a mining town whenever the owner was out of town ,quite a few went through that shop,I'm still having a little trouble believing it !

Thanks for all the replies ! I see some killer jewelry finds on here ,the stores I hit have not any thing good ,but the scale was on top of the jewelry case :laughing7: Carl hope all is well down there ! The fire clay co burned down in 1937 and I believe that was it, so my best guess is 1920 to 1937 ??? here are some more pics. HH

Hell of a pick.

Sheesh... If I saw that in a thrift around here... for that price... I would have probably fainted.

First thought would have been "whats wrong with it". heh
