I picked this up last night at a thrift store. Very often they put stuff out late on Friday for the big sale today. It was $5.99 and in a display with all the costume rings. It was grungy and I could see it was stamped on the inside, but the mark was filled with gunk. Got home and using dish soap and a dog toothbrush I always get a new one of every time I take the dog to the groomers I cleaned out that mark. Was hoping it would say 18K, but it says K10. I think its Chinese and has a carved green nephrite jade stone set with small seed pearls and two are missing, but that's no big at the price I got it. Because of the gunk in the mark the thrift store took it as junk. :hello2: ... It look pretty old?

You got a good one.

My wife though it was too gotti looking. I'm hoping someone will see it differently when I go to sell it.

I think it's pretty cool and I'm sure someone will like it and should sell.

You obviously have a good eye. What luck!
It's getting down to just luck anymore. It's funny how this kind of thing comes and goes?...I can have a long stretch of no gold or silver and then it seem I'll have a little run on finding stuff here and there. I still look for other things of value though and that what keeps the thrill of the hunt interesting. Who knows this little run of luck may not be over yet and then again it very well may be the end for now. I think they thought this was plastic or something?. It was very good that mark was filled with dirt. Had it not been it would have maybe not even ended up in the case. ARC Thrift just doesn't seem to be adding any precious metal items out in recent years. Much of the stuff is sorted in a central warehouse in Denver these days and the sorters have been taught a little on what to look for. Still they miss things from time to time and that's what keeps it fun.

What size is it?
Pretty much sized for a pinky finger. That size makes me think it's old. It seems every old 100 year women's ring I've come by have been very small. I've seen Victorian dresses in antige shops that would fit more 10 to 12 year old girls these days. My grandma born in 1891 was a tiny women. She had her first child when she was 14 years old and 3 by the time she was 19. Maybe such young pregnancy kept women from growing :dontknow:
