Cru'dad & I finished the last patch of failed crop in 2 hours 45 minutes. The weather was odd, with burning hot spells with heavy showers.:tongue3:

We didn't go out with a bang, but then I never expected to in this rather unproductive area.

3 Scrappies
Tudor Button
17th C hand decorated button (first of this design, I think!)
Tudor Belt Mount
Georgian Buckle
Bits...

We then spent some time driving by several of our farms looking for options. Thankfully the timing is perfect with the first hay cut & we now have a few pasture options.

Sweet finds as usual Crusader. What is the black round piece in the upper right pic?

You may have had to work for the finds but I would be over the moon with just have of what you have found in this field. Well done and I hope you do well in the pastures, that's where I am headed tomorrow.

Unproductive area.... Lol. I've seen your banner finds list so I guess I understand that... but that's a great day in my book. Congrats

I think you mean the top of the 17th C - early 18th Button. This type is one of the earliest type of 2 piece buttons, you rarely, if ever get them whole. I think because many of the tops popped off & the backs stayed on the coats (because we hardly ever get the backs).

That's a lot more productive than me hanging around the house. Can't wait for the fall.
