Arroeheads

look like trade points....so depends on where they were found....1830's to 1870's perhaps?

Very Cool! Did your dad find them? I wish I could help you more. Try posting under Native American artifacts also.

Love your trade points, one of those is still on my bucket list. The one with the hole in it appears to be brass, and the hole was for the trader to string them together rather than having them loose in a container. Looks like you have the photo thing figured out. Depending on where the points were found, unclemac is close on the dates, for the Missouri River trade anyhow, but if you are further east, then I'd say the dates would go further back, and on the east coast could go back into the 1700's. The Native Americans also made iron points themselves, using barrel hoops, fry pans, metal pots etc.

Whoa, VERY interesting. Per my father he explained that his Uncle excavated these items down the Lewis & Clark Trail. Some of them were found in Montana and some things at Ft Bragg.

lots of activity in the fur trade in that area....little chance they are connected to L and C....still very good to have.

Nice pieces of history and family hairlooms to pass down. I'd like finding those.
