Good looking button! Any ideas on the squarish thing in the upper right corner?

My uncle said it look like a piece of a sawmill bearing, but it seems a bit too soft of a metal to be that. He said that a sawmill was operating on that property years ago. It's on the bank of a little river.
Thanks for looking and HH.

Nice finds. Looks like a V on the square thing.

Yeah, I guess it probably is a V, but what it represents?:dontknow: Is anybody's guess or someone's expertise.:icon_study:
Thanks for looking

Always nice to see a little of history...any story on the button?
The only thing I know for sure is that it's an army button. Thanks for looking. I haven't been out detecting much lately. Its either too cold or too windy and some times cold and windy.
