I heard this on the news yesterday and it must be one of the biggest real estate deals to happen as for price and the amount of land (800 sq. miles) and for a tidy sum of $725 mil. Now there has to be a corner or two that a person could just get away to detect and the chance it hasn't been hunted yet. :) So if your first name is Warren, or Bill there might be chance that you have the extra cash and looking for a piece of dirt this might be the place

Will they take a ck?

I wonder if a VTB would be an option?

I better start buying more lottery tickets.

That is a lot of land! Most likely some large corporation will buy it. Maybe if you could come up with a good down payment and use the monies from the oil income to pay off the rest. You could also lease out more, to more drilling. But my guess is that they may have to parcel out the property.

Does the Power Ball get that big?

Seems to me that it was a couple years ago. :icon_scratch:

The wife and our grown kids all want to pitch in on a large chunk of land, where we can make our own compound. I sent the link in the OP to them all, and we discussed how cool it would be. What I'd love to have is my own island in the Caribbean, but I'd be afraid of burglary and general mayhem being all on our own. I'm too old to maintain a vigil like I once did.
