I am not sure anyone has a complete list, But anyone know of a basic list of foreign coins that have silver? I guess the more common ones?

Although you'd have to do some digging to get a complete listing, the site http://worldcoingallery.com/ lists foreign coins and their silver (or gold) content. Many have pictures for ID'ing them as well.

To find the which have silver content, you would need to pick a country and then click on the Coin Values link which will bring you to a table that contains a listing of the coins by with a reference # and a column for ASW (silver weight) or AGW (gold weight). The reference # applies to the coins for the country.

Not completely efficient, but if you wanted to look what coins from a particular country are silver, it's not too bad.

Hope that helps.

Mexico has changed the silver content of their coins so many times in the past 180 years that it's no wonder there are few CRH there. I do know on another forum where a fellow buys silver coin from the scrap yard down there. He's come up on quite a few nice coins.

I'll have to check my diez peso coins as I have family from mexico and they've given me a lot of change on their visits over the years.
