Guys,

I wanted to post some arrowheads I had eyeballed about a couple of weeks ago. The one in the middle is an Orient Fishtail from the Archaic era (7,000 B.C. - 350 B.C.). :D The one on the very left is my favorite...it also stems from the Archaic era. Gotta love this ancient era. :D The reddish point, I believe, is also from the same period. These buggards were a thrill to find, considering their ancient history.  :D

I have found 7 arrowheads this year. :D

Keep the passion high!

Archaic arrowheads for an Archaic-like person. :D You are finding 5,000-year-old artifacts and I'm finding 180-year-old ones. :D If anyone will dig a Roman coin in PA, it will definitely be you...or "The Dawood Monster". OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOF :D

Lemony Snicket :D

Not bad. I never went point hunting. I guess if you are hunting the farm fields and keep an eye out for them you can spy them. Otherwise I would think it wouldn't be that easy.

Good finds !

Yeah I found some at differant times, around here.
But about 28 years ago I learned how to make them, from a
guy who knew how to do it.
I been making them since then.
We got a lot of obsidian out here in the west and its easy to work.
I would put some pic's on but I don't have a camera or a way to download it yet.
I need to learn how to do it.
I do have a friend who knows how and should be in touch with him soon.
I've done some out of Opel, all colors of Obsidian,Quartz Crystal,
and a few of Basalt and Jasper.
You can find many who do it now, just go to Youtube.com and put in
Flint knapping. You should see a lot of guys working the stones !

LOL ! Robin

Nice finds I found two this year I think they bring me good luck after I found the first one I found my first large cent, seated liberty dime and musket ball all within 20 foot from the arrowhead. My second one I found was an hour before I got my Virginia state seal button, I need to find another one soon my detecting has been in the dumps. HH!

Hey Kirk , Archaic relic finding dude -

Nice Native American flints  I've found enough flint tools over the last few years to make up a nice display now sitting atop my entertainment center between my fur trade relics display & a 6 pack of Three Stooges beer I bought back in the 90's

Its cool finding those flint tools when your out detecting Colonial keepers !

I want to suggest you post the flints in the T-Net American Indian Artifacts forum... They will tell you exactely how old & culture :icon_study:

I have several posts running in that forum and there are many many well educated in indian relics type people posting there all the time. ( Molly , Dorkfish , etc etc )

You should also spend some time looking at what is found .... there are some AMAZING finds !!!

Hope ya find more ! :occasion14:

D. :icon_king:

Kirk. Awesome finds buddy. I haven't hunted for arowheads for many years. I used to find some...but nothing like these ancient ones you found. Heck..as bad as my eyes are getting though...I wouldn't see one to pick it up anyway...unless I stepped on it and ran it into my foot ;D Nice finds bro.
Sorry to hear your computer "crapped out" on you :tongue3:. Did you get a new one yet?
