Guys,

I wanted to post some arrowheads I had eyeballed about a couple of weeks ago. The one in the middle is an Orient Fishtail from the Archaic era (7,000 B.C. - 350 B.C.). :D The one on the very left is my favorite...it also stems from the Archaic era. Gotta love this ancient era. :D The reddish point, I believe, is also from the same period. These buggards were a thrill to find, considering their ancient history.  :D

I have found 7 arrowheads this year. :D

Keep the passion high!

Sweet FINDS "Brutha" Thats what Im talkin about!! Treasure is Treasure whether its arrowheads or Large Cents or Civil War relics

WOW Very Nice.

I have yet to see one with my eyes till somone else picks
it up in front of me & says look :D

Nice finds! I live in the heart of the Indian Nation and haven't ever found an arrow head. Once I went hunting arrow heads with an "expert" and he found 8 and I found zero! You just have to have and eye for them. I found I could look right at one and not see it. Monty

Thanks, brotha, they are fun to find. I am going to find that 2,000 year old coppa now. :D

Great arrowheads! I know nothing about them though. Where are they usually found? Just laying on the ground?

I get more of a kick finding points than coins.
Then again I haven't really found any coins.
My daughter has found some though.

I found the ones on the end while I was detecting a field. That same day, I found a "Fatboy" IH. >:( :D

They are usually found in farmfields that have been plowed. :)

Dan,

Hey, buddy, it is nice to hear from you. Our computer took a dump on us, so we haven't been on much.

Yup, I can multi-task at anything. :D I must be a professional just like you, buddy. :P :D

All in all, I had a stellar day. :tongue3: :D

Keep the passion high, my friend from SoCal!

OK... I guess I'll need to start keeping my eyes open while I metal detect. It would be cool to start a little collection of found arrowheads. What I'd really like to start finding is the coppers you guys are always finding.

Col. "K" are those points made from flint? Most of the ones I've found in my area usually are made from "quartz" looking rock. Mine could be quartz don't know. Anyhow yours are very nice. Thanks for a look. D.D.

The ones on the very left are made of some rock-like material. :D They are fun to find, but give me a coppa anyday. :D

Kirk, those are sweet points

Eyeball finds like that are always cool. . . especially when
the "coppa" is on the OTHER side of the field

Take care bud,

Sweet! I love finding arrowheads. Growing up I used to hunt arrowheads alot with my father. Just about every field that produced is currently built on today :( Most of these points were found by my grandfather and father. My grandfather originally put the frame together. It got pretty ragged (sp?) so I restored it and added the points that I have found as well. I wish they were alive to see it. All these points were found in Chester County Pa. Delaware Indians, Leni Lenape. The scarper is my best find to date.

Brian,
What is the Scarper? Is that more rare than the others?

I know those things are here but don't think I have an eye for it. Wish they had painted them green! :D
