anyone use a Brawn 34" louvre riffle sluice box?

Wow, the sound of silence is deafining! Well then, ok, we can conclude that the Brawn Sluice is a piece of junk. Thanks guy's!

The louvers and the amount of space between them just seems wrong.

Why did you guys break the deafening silence... As one member told me once concerning the very same sluice. Louvers/Louvres are great for removing heat, not gold.

The original question on this post is much like when a teacher of a class is taking role call and trying to be funny says "Raise your hand if you're not here." Everyone in class awkwardly looks around for a sec in silence.

I would look for some youtube videos of the thing in action from a source other than the manufacturer .

Brawn makes some decent products. I started with their 48" flare with expanded metal. It was a good sluice, but it was big and heavy. Next I got an A52- also a great sluice. Once I tried the bazooka, it really was best for me. I started with the sniper, ran it for 6 months and saved for the prospector. One very important note-stay away from almost all folding sluices-can be very troublesome.

I see you are still posting Randy? Haven't had contact with you in quite a few years. I have 2 bazooka sluices already. This Brawn thing looks interesting but I think I'd replace the louvers with 1/8 inch perforated screen or maybe 3/16 holes and screen out the bigger rocks altogether, see how it does.
Are you still doing any dowsing stuff?

Tom,
I had quit for a few years but I just bought the Fred Stewart dowsing rod of which I am looking forward to trying out. Fred did alot of Field testing with distances to expect which seemed to be the only honest Mfr. I've seen. So we'll see. I've got much to learn and of course practice, practice, practice. Another tool in the bag (I've got more Geophyslcal equipment for gold prospecting than some geophysicists, just ask my wife. Ah second thought not a good idea ).
