Anyone still around?

I can tell you for sure the schools up there are sort of hostile towards metal detecting. At least they were a few years back. There was simply no metal detecting allowed. That's a major bummer. I've had a hard time finding anywhere to hunt as well. Asking permission these days is a tough proposition. I had someone tell me last week "they appreciated me staying off their property".. LOL Well, I asked FIRST and never set foot on it anyway. But the general feel is that people are even more likely to say no these days than back in 2019 or so. COVID did a number on a lot of people's remaining social skills.

it's getting tough to find detecting land for sure. for sure. Maybe pay to play, I pay $100 a year for access to 3000 acres with an 1830s gold mine on it , creeks rivers old homesites in Virginia . I see people offer to pay to detect on F.B Market place ,
Look into a local club? public beach? ask around who's got some land .
