Anyone own a White's Sierra Madre?

Hi, all. I just recently got a hold of a White's catalog, as I'm looking for a new detector for cache hunting. They have a detector in it called the Sierra Madre that claims to detect several feet deep :o Is this true?! I've never heard anyone talk about this detector on these boards before, so can anyone tell me if it's any good (worthwhile for a cache/relic hunter). Thanks a million!

I don't own one yet but have looked at them on ebay several times....as soon as I can get one at the right price I'll put it to work. I think they are ideal for cache and relic hunting....just not for coin shooting. Happy Hunting. Dan

Gentleman this is an industrial detector for large objects. You will not find coins or anything else with this unit as far as i can tell. what are you planning on hunting. here is the description of the whites Sierra Madre.

Industrial and
Serious Deep
Treasure
Hunting
Specialized for large metal objects. Analog circuitry and fine tuning controls to reach way down.

Good Luck but if your coin shooting or relic hunting this is not the machine. My detector will find large objects down 2, 3, 4 feet and I have done it. Paint can lid at 2 plus feet and a rusty rim to a barrel at 3 feet and the top to a septic tank at 3 plus. If its large enough and its there a good detector regardless will find it. HH
