That's called breccia. A bunch of small angular pebbles held together with a matrix. If the pebbles were smooth and rounded the rock would be a conglomerate. Gary

Thanks Gary. I learned something new today. I've been treasure hunting around our farm for arrowheads alot lately and this is the only piece of breccia I've ever seen. Would this normally be found in groupings?

I'm not sure of the source but would guess there's a good bit of it "somewhere?" that your piece eroded out from. Gary

This doesn't match breccia photos I see online. Don't they use small pebbles in cement for sidewalks and such? In Savannah they used lots of sea shells in sidewalk cement too.
