Anyone know what this is?

It is thumb-sized and feel like it "petrified". One side super smooth, the other side sort of rough. Anyone know what it is?

sawn off tip of a buffalo, ox, goat, elk, ibex, impala, gazell, jackalope or cow horn.

anyway you get the message. not fossilized, just a tip from "horned-antlered" animal.

take your pocket knife and shave a little off the end. if it a fossil, you wont be able to.

Looks more like the end of a Buffalo Horn. This photo is of my knife that has Buffalo horn handles

cedderrat, I agree now, not fossilized. The saw marks would not be like that, as on something harder, it would have been cut with a diamond saw.
