Welcome to Tnet.

You've posted in the section for those needing help with the forum, but I expect one of the mods will move the thread for you to get more exposure.

You'll get much better responses if you provide more details. What's it made from, is it magnetic, is there anything on the other side, how big is it etc? You haven't even told us what country it was found in!

Turning it round, it looks like it might have a stylised letter 'D' in the centre, which would presumably be the logo for a manufacturer having a name beginning with that letter... but that's nothing more than a guess without more information.

I converted the colours to a negative image in Photoshop. That often gives a better definition of designs and lettering than you can see in the original positive.

More pictures please... and size... i agree with RedCoat that it is probably upside down.

Backside picture is a must.

Almost looks like it could be a buckle even.

When posting in "What Is It?", please give members the information they need to help identify your find:

1. Post sharp closeup photos of both the front and the back.
2. State the actual size of the item. Also, if possible, put something with it in the photo for scale: a common U.S. coin, a ruler, etc.
3. If there are any inscriptions which cannot be easily read in the photos, type them in full in your post.
4. If there are maker's marks, numbers, symbols, or other marks on the back which are not easily seen in the photo, post a closeup or a drawing of them.
5. Indicate the composition of the item. For example: "thin brass, filled with lead on the back."
6. Knowing where you found the item or how you got it can also be helpful in identifying the find.

• Once your item has been identified, don't forget to mark it "Solved."

• Finally, if someone identifies your item or provides other helpful information, take time to post your appreciation.
