Anyone know the difference between VCO and NORMAL on a Tesoro Sand Shark?

Point taken Boatload. The principle still stands for what a VCO is however. Does not matter if its PI or VLF~ though VLF is the more common place I've seen a manufacturer us that acronym.

Why??

I have found underwater that VCO makes the sound get louder while you are zero'ing in over the target (Left to Right) for more accurate pinpointing of an object, And Normal mode did not do that for me
That's just what I have always found to work best for me when diving with my unit.

That's exactly what others have told me about the VCO, using the Sand Shark underwater. It's about being able to pinpoint while hunting with scuba gear.
