Anyone Know About Codes on Boxes?

I get all paper wrapped String rolls in my area - Loomis- and the boxes always have a 4 digit code on bottom, which I am sure most are familiar with who get these boxes. In my area, there are 4 different codes, and they are always the same but vary week to week. My question is this - are these boxes all from the same facility, or different? The reason I ask is this past week I got 36 boxes and they all were the same code - I received 32 skunks! Today I picked up 2 boxes that had another code and they had the normal 1-2 per box.

I realize skunks will always be there and you certainly can not expect silver every time, but with the dimes, I have never seen a run of skunks like that and the fact they all had same code made me wonder how that could happen. I have started seeing patterns in the boxes as far as the codes in recent months. For a while boxes marked with 1 code will produce better than others, and vice versa on the bad codes. However, I have never seen one this dramatic before. My recent skunk boxes had the code 4402, which several months ago was a code I always hoped for - They were giving up 3-5 per box and another code 5419 were terrible. Now it is just the opposite.

It just seems too glaring of a oddity that this could just be chance. Anyone have any ideas?

I think the code is where they are being processed. For example, in my area(FED District 9) boxes from Sioux Falls is 4072 and Minneapolis is 3070. My guess is that one is from Des Moines, Chicago, Detroit, etc...Wherever your Fed District is.

The four digit code is the Loomis sorting facility. That would be a good topic for a pinned thread-everyone find out what number is what facility ans post it. As far as one being better than another, I would think that's just random. Although one facility could be in a better area I guess.
