I don't have a machine yet but am looking at getting something after I figure out what I want. I'm in Hondo just west of San Antonio on 90.

I live just down the road from you in Lytle. I'm new to this site, too. I've been detecting on and off since 1983. I've always used Garrett machines. I don't think you'd go wrong with one. Not Medina county, but I'm in the town of Medina 3 - 4 times a year. My detector craving peaks when I visit that area. I would love to hear/learn about any finds, sites or suggestions in that area. Thanks!
