White man's blues.
The wife and I passed through Leland, Mississippi where Edgar and Johnny lived in their youth. We took a trip down to New Orleans and followed the Mississippi river on the great river road to get there and back last summer. We stopped at the Delta Blues Museum in Clarksdale and the cross roads where Robert Johnson sold his soul to the devil so he could play the blues. Also stopped in BB Kings club in Memphis.

I went to BB Kings while working a 3 month job in Memphis about 3 years ago. It just happened to be in May when Memphis in May celebration is going on.BBs always had a good band, but there were great bands playing all over for free out on Beal st.
Here is a link to this years celebration. It would be a guaranteed good time for a music fan. Check out the lineup.

As a side note - Memphis ( like any other big city) can be dangerous if you are alone or have been partying too much.

Wow.....a LOT of great bands.
I had lots of trouble trying to pick less than 5 songs from him because I didn't want to clog up the thread!
Notice the audience in the beginning and then how they are at the end.....
This next song makes me think about all the hard rocking, heavy metal bands that played that heavy blues rock in the late 80's and 90's.
John's Mick Taylor was doing it in the late sixties!
Ugh! I was trying hard to limit it to 2 songs! I can't stop myself.......
Sorry!
