Anyone find any treasure on the East coast yesterday?

Beaches were re-nourished, odds are cuts are no where near deep enough...

I agree. Even with a cut like this it seemed like it was still new sand. image.jpeg

This was the cut at the jupiter inlet. photo-145.JPG
You can see the renourshiment sand on top of the older grey layer. Got one ship spike in front of the san miguel site. photo-148.JPGphoto-149.JPG

I went to a group dig on a windy beach, and got a lot of neat stuff. Would have like to have been in Florida.

I found treasure.1 silver part of a door off a bird cage ornament.Found on a beach near a 1715 wreck.I went to 1 beach and covered 4 miles of it.Also found part of a danforth anchor and a large copper pipe and a few bottle caps and beer can parts and 1 large screw.DSC_1663.JPG

Thats interesting. Hmmm. Silver. Do you think its off the wreck ?? It looks like it could be.

It has to be off a wreck as i have never seen any modern jewelry that looks like that.

Thats awsome man. Your the first one to get spanish booty that ive herd of. Good job. Great find. They traded birds alot back then. I know that cardinals were a hot item then.

Id love to see some more pics. If you can.

Not good where I am. The beach is very small after the storm. Dead low tide seems like a high tide so you can barely detect.

Looks lead to me... Wrong patina for silver. Interesting find...

Its not lead. Its silver.I had it tested.

Nice find Fisheye I think you are the only one who found anything! That beach renourishment buried everything for good.

This doesn't include shipwreck material. I know of several people besides me who did well. Some of us are just tired of the worthless commentators whom find nothing. Yet, voice their opinions whether or not they even participate in "shipwreck hunting," which is the name of this forum.

The gold coin came a few weeks earlier, and it wasn't in the ocean, or on the beach. Private property.

There is no point in publicizing beach finds. The areas are accessible to everyone with a metal detector. Finds we make in the ocean get announced quickly, as there is no way for the general public to work those areas.

There are many beach finds that go unreported. It's not that we don't want to share the excitement with everyone; it's that we are worried about having people in our areas the next day.

whoa!! Just wanted to see the bird cage door
Very nice gold. I vote for a worthess commentation thread , it will be a hit im sure.
Wonder how many worthless commentators just post pics of nails and rust chips too. some of these guys are living there dream through your posts. Ill lurk back to beach and shallow water where I belong.

"some of these guys are living there dream through your posts."

That is the only reason I post our finds. I want to share this with the public. I have posted finds on t-net minutes after recovery just to share the experience. Unfortunately there are others like me that will not post their finds, because of the nonsense comments that would be received. If you go back through some previous posts, this will be evident. "Worthless" describes the few who have no idea what they are doing, yet comment and post like they do. People who claim to be shipwreck hunters, yet all they do is troll the internet. They understand the basic concept of what we do, so they make it seem like they know how to hunt shipwrecks. I am not the only one in this field who feels this way. Again, that was directed at only a few people. Don't be so sensitive.

Also, can we be sure that is a "bird cage" door? I've never seen anything like that found on the 1715 fleet. Not saying there weren't silver birdcages, just not likely. You have to remember that this comes from a person who thought a piece of aluminum was gold, then tried to get the exclusive for that area. A person who constantly talks crap about all the salvage boats (behind their backs) yet didn't work a day last year. Someone, who has basically pissed off anyone who actually finds treasure. A real life treasure coast troll.
