Found this today from a site that ranges from 1930 back to colonial time. Is it possible Military ? Does anyone recognise the trade mark ? Any help would be appreciated ! Thanks. MaineRelic. UPDATE: You people are sharp I never even noticed the A on the Front of the badge . As much as I hated to I gave it a bath in warm peroxide and gently cleaned it with a Q-tip. I then rephotographed it. I am just going to replace the original 2 pics with the updated pics. These do show a little more detail. Thanks; MaineRelic

Re: Anyone familiar with this Star pin or associated trade mark ? Updated new P

Here's a website to do a search on the Trademark logo on the back. There are thousands of logos here, so you might want to do a search on yours.
http://www.trademarkia.com/search.aspx

I also agree the over/under tips of the star matches the ones on the Amarilla Police patch, so a good question to ask/search would be: Were official police badges 'trademarked?'

Another thing to add to the mix would be a 'premium.' Back in the 1950s/60s, lots of companies gave away premiums. The "A" could stand for the company. ie. Armor Star (or any of "A" company) could have given out star badges. :dontknow:

And, to add another idea: The "A" could stand for ACME. It seemed every cartoon or comic book back during the 50s/60s era used an ACME contraption.

Might stand for Company A Texas Rangers.

It could be an older version. Here's their badge:

Most Texas Ranger badges are fakes. Of those, the majority are marked "Company A". The wreaths are post 1961.

I believe that information is fairly correct.

A Texas Rangers badge found in Maine with an Arabic trademark? Although a good guess, it seems unlikely. Besides it doesnt match the over/under star points.

Let me clarify my post above this one: It could be a Company A Texas Ranger badge, but if it is, I think it is a 'toy' or either a 'fantasy' version. Again, the trademark on the back says 'unofficial' to me. It's still a cool find though, Breezie

MaineRelic - did you find this at a home site? If you want to provide any info to me about the names of the people who might have lived there or the address etc.. I can try to find them on the census or other records and maybe find something that might connect with the pin.

My guess right now is investigating the possiblity of it being an award/achievment pin for a student.

But it is probably just in my head due to a prior thread I worked on.
