It came out of a CW camp site. I'm wondering where this type of button would fit in on the uniform ?? Maybe trousers? It says Macullar Parker and co. Approximately half inch in size. Thanks in advance guys!---- I've seen this same button that says Us Army on it, with two stars , but those weren't issued until WW1.--- Not magnetic

I believe at one time the re-enactors must have used the actual battlefield parks. One of the local clubs here helped out the National Park service in Murfreesburo, Tn. They were having a hard time figuring out why certain confederate buttons were showing up, where confederate troops were never known to have been. It was the relic hunters that explained to them that it was re-enactors buttons they were finding.

With part of the Resaca battlefield being used each year during the annual Battle of Resaca re-enactment, there's undoubtedly all kinds of mixed things laying around there. Can't hunt it, and it would likely be a grand headache if you tried.

cool to meet another spotsy native on here. All thirty two years of mine,I was raised in that neighborhood across from that new spotsylvania town center "SpotsLee subdivision".Wish I had been a little older with a machine back then, there was hardly any houses at the time, and that whole neighborhood was one big Confederate camp!I do know a few places around it to go still, been hit pretty hard over the years but there is still stuff there!I am over here off of seays road.
