I would love to see what others have come acrossed as a Bonus in their buys.

I found these in the bottom of a jar of junk foreign coins. I paid $10 for the lot which along with the pictured gold had about 50 junk world coins, a 187th Airborne Challenge coin, 4 buffalo full date nickels, a 1908-S barber dime, a 1943 steel penny, $3.85 in Canadian post 1968, and .85 in US clad.
The ring is 10K 2.3 grams, the pendant is 14K 1 gram.

Nicely done, I am going to have to remember that and try my own hand at it. I have turned down foreign money a couple of times on yard sales, or poured through it looking for anything that was silver, but now I am thinking from now on I should just ask, "How much for all of this stuff." I love how you can always pick up more and more ways to find the goodies on this site. Thanks for the idea.

You are right about this site, these coins were not out on display, taking Cyberdan's advise (from this site), I asked, Do you have any forgein coins you would like to sell?

Oh, I always ask if they have any old coins they would like to sell also. Also, got that from CyberDan, he is a huge help. It is so ingrained in my lil 5 yr old's mind, she reminds her mother to ask if they are at a yard sale without me on the weekends I have to work. She is a smart girl, cuz she knows the silver is hers. Keep up the good work. T.

kewl...i always ask if they got any old marbles...if they do they usually think they have little value thats why theyre not out..

Last week I did my usual questions and some guy brought out a baggy of foreign coins. Nothing very interesting except a 25peso mex libertad from the 1968 olympics, paid $1 for it (seller set the price) almost $10 in silver.

Here is another example of a bonus find. I purchased a shopping bag full of old envelops from the 30" and 40's unused stamped ones. $10 for this lot also. The big bonus in the bottom of this bag was a check box full of old black and white negatives from the Korean War. There were over 300 negatives. These brought $314.50 on feebay. Here are three examples:

Great score the challenge coin goes for 7-10 bucks by itself :icon_thumleft:. Great Korean war negatives too.
