I found this a while back. It is a Merch which has been embossed through and made into a ring. You can see the reeding on the edge and the original lettering including the date. It was difficult to scan the inside but you can get the idea. I didn't know what I had until a month later when I got around to cleaning it up.

I have seen modern kennedy half dollars done like that also.

awesome ring! Never found one of those, but I did find this 1917 Merc Brooch just a few days ago! Both of the Mercs are dated 1917, unfortunately I can't see the mint marks as they are cut out. The two dimes were soldered together, and a pin soldered to the back.

I found one with my Pulse ,.... Merc. dime 1916 D just about cried when I made the date on it after seeing the mint mark ... :'(

Kool pop-out ring, Wayne. I found one myself a few years ago. Mine was made with a 1910 Barber dime. I posted it on the forum last year. HH
