Good point!
I appreciate the input. I guess the old saying is true..." If it sounds too good to be true...."

Thanks

If you think they haven't gone through every one of those coins, your crazy. They buy these huge collections for "pennies" on the $, hoping to find highly valuable coins that the owners missed, etc. Then to get their investment back, they sell these "bags" online. It's the same with these guys who sell bags of placer ore dirt. Sure, some find nuggets in them, that were usually placed there by the seller. Enough people talk about finding nuggets to warrant a lot more buying bags. What hurt is throwing in a $20 nugget in every 20th bag? It's a marketing tool, and a very brilliant one at that, since you asked :)

That is true, hubby asked the same question, so I thought I would ask a second opinion. Daughter is so hyped about going through Grandma's old coins she started cruising for bags.
I think I will start her on coin roll hunting instead. Order in a box of low denomination coins to start her out with. Another TN member offered me a deal on a starter set for her when we all get together at the end of the month for a hunt. You know she will be at the hunt looking for gold and that elusive relic. BTW she is 18 and tough ole' broad!

Thanks

A good place to score on some wheats, I've found is at flea markets or at a coin dealers bin. I never expect to cherry pick at either location but at least I have a Whitteman books filled with the off dates. I'm a Silver hound thou but I got my start on pennies.

Yea I have dealt with them never buying wheats just silver certs, but Ive always done business with them on ebay there name is "estatesbyweight". Only done business with them twice and both times they were very fast and good communicators.
