Found this the other day and I have no clue to what it is. It is very heavy for its size. There is nothing on the back of it and a piece of bailing wire is attached at the top.
The best I can tell it says "_ _ SWINGS DE LAVAL _ _ ER MIN.

It help will be appreciated.

De Laval made milking machines, but I can't remember anything like that on one.

Interesting. It more than likely had something to do with the milking industry just not sure which part. Its an odd piece. I am wondering if its some sort of counter weight. I don't have any scales but I would guess that it weighs around a pound or more.

De Laval must have made all sorts of things, we have a freezer from the 50's that my parents gave to us. Still works.

I have this 1930's catalog . It has several pages of De laval parts in it for milkers , seperaters , milk cans , etc ..... I can't see that item anywhere . Maybe Marty is on the right track , buckets "swing" from their handles . Any way ................
