Depends.
Honestly I find I get a whole lot better deal with my local bullion/coin shops than buying off of eBay.
Worn Seated Liberty coins tend to go for moon money on eBay (RedBook or higher), at my local coin shop I can get worn examples for a buck or two over melt. Same with Barbers. Common date V nickels sell for $3-4 in worn condition (with shipping) on eBay, I can buy as many as I want for $.75. Scrap silver goes for much cheaper than eBay/APMEX too, no more than $1 over spot per $1 of scrap 90%. Foreign silver coins I can usually get at or below melt, often including key or semi-key dates.
About the only advantage the internet seems to have is that I can get more selection and higher grade coins than I can get at my coin shops. For example, Standing Liberty Quarters grading fine or better are hard to find there. Same with high-grade foreign coins.
The internet is quite useful for a lot of things, but getting cheap coins really isn't one of them.
Do you buy a bunch of the .75 centers and list them on ebay.?
