Hi All,

Fellow rock hound and prospector here looking to network and hear stories.
I myself have gotten about 30cts. of Sapphires to date... Had TSA dump a bunch of them during screening once.

I am looking to see if anyone else is a Montana Sapphire Rockhound / Prospector.
I'd love to hear your stories, if you've ever worked or visited Yogo gulch or if you're stuck to rock creek and the other usual locations.

Cheers to everyones next find!

When I was traveling to the Stillwater mine in Columbus, MT, I'd stop in a little jewelry store there in Columbus and check out the various jewelry they had set with the famous Montana sapphires. Pretty high dollar stuff. I've wondered if this natural gold nugget stick-pin I have is not set with a Yogo sapphire.

Tell me more! Did you get them back? Dumped them to examine them or dumped them in the trash?🤔
Yes, It was on the little side table where they reroute your bags, I had him wipe them all back into my treasure box after making an awkward comment that all the pebbels were sapphires lol

to the guy that bought the stick pin in Columbus, it is highly likely a genuine Sapphire. Since it's locally sourced in a small community that really doesn't import many false goods you are good to go on thinking thats authentic
