Yes it will be good to meet you also. I to have been working every chance I get.
Despite the economy I know that Christmas is just around the corner and the never
ending bills to pay. The money just seems to fly out the window. What time do you guys
gather at these events? If I show up at 9am is that early?

I'm usually there at about 7:30 or 8. If the lazy FP guy has a hangover, then the gate won't be open until about 8-9.

A friend I work with who's just starting out and got his first detector may show up too.

Is there a place to park nearby if the gates are closed. or do you just hang around
and wait for the guy?

That day we had the big picnic was the first day I ever showed up at that time to see the entrance roped off. Should be good to go at 8, almost always is.
