Anybody using after market coils for the e trac

Looking for any feedback on them...I'm looking to get the coiltek joey 10''x 5'' dd coil for trashy areas in parks..Any one using one of these in the city parks and if so how do you like it?..I was also looking at the sunray x5 as well..Now for the bigger coils, who using what and where? If anyone has coiltek joey or sunray x5 for sale let me know.

Thanks everyone!Just brain picking for my next coil or 2 to get:skullflag:

I have borrowed small coils but honestly never found anything with them. Small and closed coils are good for woods hunting since sticks and stuff don't get hung up in the coil but even in trashy parts of the park I haven't done much good with a small coil.

I have the Sunray X5, X8 and the Detech 13". Everything has it's place depending on conditions.

Exactly,I'm always getting hung up with the stock coil and that's why the joey coil got my interest with being closed. All my gold and silver jewelry and several silver coins was found with my 5'sniper coil on the at pro.

You can put a solid cover on the bottom of the pro coil. It's the Tesoro 11" coil cover. It's solid and it fits the Pro with it's coil cover inplace, so it's an easy on-easy off.

Thanks for that awesome tip!I'll probably get the sunray x5 or the 6''dd excelerator for the trashy places I'd like to hunt.

I use both a SEF 15x12 and a SEF 6X8. Actually there are times the 15x12 works in the woods. If there is a lot of soft underbrush, like tall grass, the extra weight serves to give a good steady low swing, pushing the stuff away.

I find that the 6x8 does work well in separating targets out in the trashy areas...

Thanks everyone!
I'll decided to get these 2 coils coiltek platypus and a sunray x5 sometime next week.
