Well not really sick, just tired of getting up and down and up and down for quarters. I keep going back to the sledding hill for something to do here and when I thought I cleared out all the quarters, I find another batch in a different part of the park,

I have two weeks left here at this park before heading back to Michigan. I can't wait to get back into finding silver and gold.

Yesterday I hunted the red rectangle:

56 more quarters, 6 dimes and 3 pennies. A large belt buckle and some kind of huge Kids Zone soccer origination medal.

Today I hunted both the hill and the rectangle for laughs and giggles.

72 more quarters, 10 dimes, 4 nickels including a Canadian and 4 pennies. (Make that 9 dimes and 5 pennies!)

So far the total quarters stands at 680 or 170.00 worth. I have also found 7 1.00 coins. I haven't counted the other clad. I pass up most the nickel, penny and dime signals cause there is just way too many and it is hard for me to keep getting up and down. I do pick up all the coins in a pocket spill though.

At least underwater I don't have that problem and I certainly don't have that much clad to contend with!

Not to many of us like clad Scuba, but at least your 56 Quarters were not an additional 56 pennies instead of those quarters !

I am swinging a White's Eagle SL2. I know quarters and I am cherry picking. I am leaving the pennies, nickels and dimes unless they are in a pocket spill. Since I am on the ground I will get them all. Any VDI of 87 I dig. Below that I skip.

This park was made in 1984. So no silver to be had except for a Mormon Chose the Right ring so far.

Good deal Scuba..not many detectorists in my neck of the woods, and soon after I got my ATP I virtually raped a soccer field of a TON of clad...and 3 silvers...I learned a lot about my machine that first summer which certainly helped down the road. I know when I've been field hunting for a week straight, I was BEGGING for a high tone! So yes, a day at the clad factory helps right the boat. Quarters alone from the one field alone upgraded me to a shiny, new Garrett Pro Pointer. I'm both ways...I just love getting out and hunting, I do prefer relics and silver but don't always have the resources available. Great stuff tho...Can't wait to start seeing your gold and silver water posts Scuba...Ddf

Clad turns into year end Silver bullion

I was gonna say the same thing....
This is what my clad for 2016 now looks like.

I learned my machine at schools and sport fields. I enjoyed coming home with $3 or $4 of change, but the days I found a silver ring or other semi valuable piece of jewelry or a silver coin got me hooked on the hobby.

Looks like virgin ground. Thanks for leaving the gold behind for me. [emoji4]

I don't find much clad at the places I hunt, and that's ok with me.

Never know when one of those nickles will turn up being a nice gold ring.

never really get tired of clad, it pays the bills so to speak hehehe!

I prefer the sound of square nails popping off in a field knowing that if I do manage to grab a coin signal it's probably gonna' put a goofy grin on my face and make me do the Happy Dance.

Never know when one of those nickles will turn up being a nice gold ring.

I find so much gold underwater I don't mind missing the land stuff. Today's finds: Exactly 120 quarters, 4 dimes, 3 nickels and 6 pennies. (I have a penny with the dimes again)
