Nothing official. I did hear Gary from XP state in an interview on "Global Detection Adventures" that it would be at the end of this year/beginning of 2017, whenever XP is confident it will be a solid release.

So, yeah, who knows ...

Wow! It looks like XP is making a rebranded version for Depar Detectors to sell as their own... Like OEM Reselling the Deus. My company has done that in the past for the software we write... rebranding it with a partners name\logo and they sell it as if they wrote it. Even the power up splash screen on the "DPR600" says Depar too!
 

have been looking at purchasing a Deus. pardon my ?, but are you all talking about Deus bringing out a new machine OR new software for it. if it is a new machine, i prob ought to wait to get one til the new model comes out. hope this is not too far off the thread. if so, i apologize.
 

It's an update new coil and a new pinpointer there giving us all plenty of time to save money

Only new stuff they've announced that they're coming out with are accessories such as the new coils and pinpointer. The Deus platform isn't changing, but will get a free software update. So you can buy a Deus anytime, upgrade it for free and buy new accessories if you wish. No need to wait.

The DPR600 thing jadocs mentioned looks like a OEM rebranded Deus for markets in specific countries. Perhaps done to allow XPs technology to enter those countries markets at a price point affordable to the detecting markets there. It also appears to have some different specs, such as "4 programs, with 2 customizable program spots". So perhaps they made some other changes when they OEMed the software for it too.

Don't be confused by the dpr machine though, the Deus is the one you will buy if you decide to get one.
 

From what I can gather it is made by XP but it is limited to gold hunting only (hence the name change- i.e. it's not a Deus). In other words I do not believe the control box will allow the use of the lower frequency coils. I believe the Deus is more expensive because it allows the flexibility from coin to relic to gold capability. I do not believe XP is making a new Deus.

I could be wrong, but that's what I think right now.
 

No was just checking on software update. Buy it you won't regret it. I've had alot of detectors and this is the one I use exclusively.
 

The best detector for relic hunting hands down .
