Bounty Hunter - Pioneer 202; Garrett ACE 250
Im heading out to the beach in NC shortly. I have 2 machines an Ace 250, and a QD 2 (yes i know they are both entry level machines).
I love both machines, but have never hunted beach environment with either. Since packing space is sort of limited for me, I was planning on bringing only one machine.. Does any one have any advice as to which machine I should pack? Does one perform better than the other in this environment? Both the same? Both equally bad?

For the regular hunting I do.. I like both machines equally. I prefer the pinpointing feature on the Ace and I find it more sensitive in general, but i can ususally find targets quicker with my Bounty Hunter.

Any advice anyone can provide is GREATLY apprieciated.

Ace 250. Dig foil and above. Turn down the sensitivity near the water if you get falsing. Hope you have a scoop. Stay hydrated. Good luck.

I took my Ace 250 to Myrtle beach this past July and found 72 coins in 3 hunts. The 72nd coin was a no date very corroded Buffalo Nickel. It worked perfectly in the dry sand, I turned the sensitivity down to 2 bars in the wet sand but there were very few targets in the wet sand that I mostly worked the towel line. Seemed to false more the closer to the water I got. I would advise you to take the detector you are the most familiar and comfortable using. Good Luck. Steve

Thanks for the tips guys! Looks like I'm bringing the ACE.
Cheers!
