I live in a very hot desert valley and thinking the heat is the reason but lots of you are experienced and must know what's going on but lots of these penny's I've found are broken, bubbled, or look like there being eaten away!? Any clue what's happen to them and no I didn't do it while digging them up I only scoop once and there it is. Thanks guys happy hunting

thats normal man they do that everywhere zink doesnt weather very well

There are a lot of salts in your soil down there and tons of fertilizer also.

Zinc must provide nutrients for grass as I always find them with a root bundle growing around and sometimes attached to them.
